Reason for becoming a Pediatrician:  I became a pediatrician because I am truly gratified when I am able to assist in taking care of children. Unfortunately, children get sick and it’s a reality. However, when I’ve been able to intervene and provide medical care which aids them in becoming healthy again, there is no greater satisfaction. I have frequently seen kids who are not eating, having fever, no longer active, and feeling miserable. Then after some medical treatment and educating families on what to do at home, my patients return in a week or 2, playful, smiling, and healthy. It’s amazing to see. It’s great playing a small part in seeing them grow into healthy adolescents and young adults.
